Hello, Ciao, Salut & Merhaba!
I could go on like this forever, but let’s keep it at this – welcome to my blog!
I’m Doro, a passionate wanderer in my early 20s. Originally, I am from Germany, but have spent most of the past four years abroad, attending university in the Netherlands and Turkey & traveling in Asia and Europe.
My Travel Style
As a travel blogger (my blog is in its baby stages, feels weird to call myself like this), you’re supposed have a niche. Are you a female solo-traveler? An adventure traveler? Digital Nomad?
Well, I don’t like to put myself in a box. Frankly, I wouldn’t know how to exactly define my travel style. A mostly budget-female-solo-traveler who likes a bit of adventure & climbing volcanoes but also loves to just go on quick weekend city break with friends – that surely is too long of a label.
I love traveling for many reasons. Experiencing new cultures, exploring nature, expanding your horizons – I like to think of travel as a teacher and a tool for personal growth.
This is also the main reason why I have started this blog. I strongly believe that traveling is a terrific way of learning beyond the classroom and would like to inspire others to go on their own adventures – whether this is a solo trip or a holiday with their partner does ultimately not matter.
Having said that, I will say that the focus of or some of my writing will be on budget & solo travel, as that is what I mostly do. Generally however, you can expect a happy mix of travel tips, personal stories and the odd photo diary!
